Air Conditioning in the Subway

    One problem with this idea I mentioned a few weeks ago is that the planned subway cars are different lengths. Thus putting doors in various locations would be a logistical nightmare. And this would cost a lot. We had a whole lenghty discussion about it too. (Self-promotion!)

    In conclusion, there is no way this is going to happen. Not ever.

    Ain’t gonna happen. It costs too much. And the subway cars planned for the Second Ave. line are of varying lengths according to internal MTA docs. So they would have to figure out a way to space the doors.

    Plus, it feel too much like some sort of holding pen for the hordes of people ridin gthe subway.
