Bed Bugs Attack in the Subway

Bed Bugs on Subway

As if we don’t have enough things to dodge in the subway, like homeless bums. Now we have to watch out for bed bugs.

“…reported seeing the bugs on wooden benches at the Union Square and Fordham Road stations in Manhattan and The Bronx, respectively.”

I generally avoid sitting on those gross wooden benches on the platform, but now I definitely will. Bedbugs are being found on the benches.

In case you don’t know, all it takes is one of these little buggers riding home with you for your entire home to become infested. You might as well say good bye to every bit of fabric and furniture you own!

And they bite like crazy while you sleep.

I’d imagine that the bed bugs will easily spread via homeless people sleeping on he benches. They move around from place to place and spread the bugs. The fact that the benches are wood probably doesnt help the situation either.

Eeeww…now I’m all itchy.

I saw a cockroach take off and fly down the platform at Grand Central on my first day in NYC. I screamed like a little girl.

I’ve been skittish of bugs in the subway ever since.

You’re right… They do come home easy and they do multiply quickly.

If you see a bed bug in your apt., prepare to dig in and fight them to the death. You’ll need to become a completely obsessed bed bug killing machine!

They’re the nastiest nocturnal flesh-eating mini-monsters I’ve ever met. Well, possible exception for a tryst with a guy named Doogs back in the 80s, but you know what I mean…

The bedbug epidemic is DEFINITELY thanks to the transplant hipsters who share, buy, sell, swap furniture all year long. There are tons of articles related to bed bug infestations in North Brooklyn. It’s obvious it’s the hipsters fault. I’m dead serious, don’t get too close to someone on the subway with messy hair, tight jeans, chunky glasses, or chuck taylors as there’s a good chance a bed bug will jump on you. If the hipsters actually decide to wear shorts this summer you will see the bite marks.
