Wordpress for Blackberry

Wordpress released a beta version of their new publishing app for Blackberry. All I can say is FINALLY!
I’ve been waiting for this for years. Glad it is finally getting done.
Now I can better control the site while riding the subway.

I still think that cell phones are becoming more and more of a distraction to actually engaging with people when you are out and about.
ReplyThere is no doubt WP is one of the best platforms out there precisely for this reason – they’re always making it easier to adopt WP for all users, although in this case I’d agree that it was a little late in coming.
ReplyI agree – a long time coming, but definitely a welcome addition to WP’s overall capabilities and support.
ReplyAs someone who has about a half dozen blogs on the WordPress platform, this tool will be of great benefit. Having been a previous owner of smart phones, the Palm line up to be precise, I was never really interested in the Blackberry until the Storm.

ReplyAt that point, a moment of clarity, I opted to buy a tiny “do-nothing phone” phone for $19. I have rediscovered books and the world around me. Try it for 1 week – on a dare. I think you’ll be amazed like I was. I never thought I’d say it but “I’m happy without my Blackberry”.
I agree with Suzanne, I feel like I’m missing out in life by checking my phone all the time but I can’t seem to stop it either! If I could only lose my phone…

ReplyI also am addicted to my Blackberry, lots of times when riding the train, I remember that I forgot to do something on one of my wp blogs. Now I can keep up to date on all of my blogs, no problem.
ReplyNow this is exactly why I need to get a Blackberry. The Verizon representative that I was working with convinced me to not get a blackberry but to get the stupid phone I have now.
Anyways, if I had one, I will be able to update all of my blogs any where.
ReplyI just downloaded the app, not sure how this will work. I just got a new 3g palm so I a hoping I can be truly blogging mobile anywhere any time. Just started using Quik on my Nokia N95, and going to use it on my new palm 3 g very cool times we live in.

ReplyThat is a good addition, though I loathe the day that I ever buy a crackberry. One day, evolution will dictate that the “fittest” will be able to “type” with only their thumbs…it will be sad.
ReplyNow all you need is a full size keyboard or an accurate transcription app for the Blackberry, because who in there right mind is going to type up a Blog post using there thumbs.

Now this looks like a cool app. Downloading it now. However my blackberry of late has been getting buggy, I hope this does not slow it down more. Have you had any issues with that?
ReplyWow – that’s great! My friend in Taipei runs a blog and is totally addicted to his Blackberry (couldn’t get him off it the last time we went to a sushi restaurant there). But, I imagine the app will have to be out for a while before it’s running 100% smoothly. Give it a go and let us know the results – I’ll check back here. Thanks, David

I agree. That used to be so before the new models of the Best of the Best Smart Phones were launched.
But now, with all the recent developments of smartphones and their applications (like the one discussed here) it’s getting a lot easier and a lot more common to keep yourself constantly connected.
Without applications, who would need smartphones for anything, anyway?
ReplyI am using new app with my Blackberry and pretty satisfied with its performance. It has enabled me to blog even from remote areas. I go on trekking for longer time. Laptop is too heavy to carry on such tours. Blackberry and this app worked wonders for me. My complete blogs are filled with my experience of traveling across the mountains and hills. It has very simple interface and you can type very easily with generic styles and keep on updating your blog with endless posts every day. I would vote for this app if there is any award!
ReplyThere’s also a paid Wordpress app made by ScreamingToaster. There’s a free 14-day trial, I tried both of them and honestly I like the one made by Wicked over the official WP app.

ReplyI concur with Dr. Suzanne. I think those cheap little phones are cool berries. They do make life a bit simpler for sure. But there are some who like all the bells and whistles a body can think up. I say good on them. It takes many kinds to make the world go around and around.
