Has anyone else noticed a lot of trains with lights turned off? It seems that many train cars lately have only had 25% of their cabin lights turned on.
There’s still the lights on in every doorway, but the rest are off.
It’s like when the train car temporarily loses power, and the main lights kick off. Only this time, they don’t come back on at all. Everything else is normal. The air conditioning and speakers work.
Maybe they are doing it on purpose to save power. It makes sense. You can still see very well on the trains even without the main lights. I bet if all the trains turned off half of their internal lights, it would save a ton of electricity.
Then again, maybe I give the powers that be too much credit.
