Subway super hero Wesley Autrey is mourning the loss of his surrogate son.
Roy Huntley, 24, was found on a Manhattan street on Sunday with a gunshot wound to the head. Police believe he may have gotten into a fight with his attackers.
Autrey told reporters he treated Huntley “like he was my own.”

We have nearly one gun for every man, woman, and child in this country and not nearly the control we need to keep them out of the hands of dirt bags. The prison systems in this country do more to create perps amd advance their criminal minds and degrade them as men than we can possibly imagine. We could use video systems in the subways – like they already have in China. We need some real big changes in this country… the trash running the stock markets will screw us all so they can get the latest bmw. A friend of mine who served two tours in Vietnam told me he believed that “God takes the good ones young”. My sincere condolences go out to the Autrey family.

I am the wife of Roy Huntley, and I am soo pissed that Mr. Autrey has not tried to reach out to me or my kids to send his condolences. When he was interviwed he failed to acknowledge the fact that Roy has a wife of two years and 2 kids under the age of 6. Roy was a wonderful husband and father and his kids were his everything and now I only have memories of him. I miss him and I love him soo much. It hurts like hell that he’s gone, but I know he’s in a better place. I think everyone for sending their love and condolences.

It amazes me that people feel like they have the authorization to take away another’s life. Hopefully this is the rude awakening people need to start thinking instead of pulling triggers. It is depressing to hear such stories when one loses a loved one over foolishness, yet my heart goes out to Mrs. Huntley the most because I know Roy loved and cared for her and their two children just as much as I still do. Sending my love and support, ESPECIALLY to the wife of Roy Huntley, jr.

Hi you might not know me. But Roy is my step cousin. I am sending you my condolences. God bless you and those kids.I know Roy loved his kids to death..Yeah that is fucked up that, that happened to him..But just think of it like this he is in a better place..Right now he is living a good life with Grandma and Grandpa Davis and my father..He will always be looking down at you and the kids..I will see and talk to you more on Monday..

i think its sensless acts of crime like this that mess up the lives of too many,roy was a friend of mine who will not be forgotten ,he was loved by many and hated by none that i know of…we will miss you roy
